Westray Autumn Fair

Sorry, I’m a bit late with this post.

It was the Westray Autumn fair last weekend, it is always interesting to see what others on the island have been up to.

The fair was held in the school hall as usual and was well attended even though it was a thoroughly miserable day outside.

I had a few more Intarsia pieces at the fair this year than I normally do. I didn’t sell any but it was an opportunity to showcase them. I fear they may be a bit expensive for the casual buyer. Or, they may just not be peoples taste, who can say.

Setting aside the intarsia items did very well again so thank you to the good folk of Westray for their continued custom.

I say “we” as my daughter had a table next to mine and sold good knitted and crocheted goods made mainly by her with a few items added by her Mum. They did well too so that was nice.

It’s the Craft Associations Christmas Fair on the 30th November, at the Parish Kirk so we’re busy beavering away making last-minute items for than now.
