Prepping Wood

I’ve just spent a bit of time in the workshop prepping wood.

I love prepping wood, in fact, I think I like it as much as working with it. The wood here was bought from Logs n Stuff near Perth. I envy the chap doing the sawmill services there. It must be so nice seeing what timber comes out of the tree.

These pieces were approximately 45mm thick and I’ve re-sawn them down to 10-12mm thick on my bandsaw.

I think there is some very nice patterning on these pieces.

I just need to decide what to do with them now. Probably some fretwork.

As you can see there is also the option to use the mirror cut effect to create a bigger piece.
